Hangzhou Freetron Reaches New Heights: Inside the New Building
At Wellbase, growth is measured not just in output, but in capability. Recently, our largest manufacturing base, Hangzhou Freetron, marked a significant milestone with the completion of the roofing ceremony for its newest building. This development represents more than just additional square footage—it is a strategic upgrade designed to elevate our warehousing efficiency, packaging standards, and production flow.
A Milestone for the Hangzhou Base
The roofing ceremony symbolizes the structural completion of the new facility, bringing it one step closer to full operation. Renovations are scheduled to begin by November of this year, with the building slated to become a central hub for advanced manufacturing and logistics at the Hangzhou site.
As part of the roofing ceremony, our leaders personally pour in the final portion of concrete to cement the new building as our next milestone.
What This Means for Our Capabilities
The new building is purpose-built to address three critical areas of our operations:
1. Expanded & Streamlined Warehousing
Space is a critical asset in manufacturing, and the new facility significantly increases our warehousing capacity. More importantly, it is designed for flow, not just storage. By integrating the new space with existing facilities, we are creating a more logical material journey from raw components to finished goods—reducing congestion and improving inventory control.
2. State-of-the-Art Dust-Free Packaging Workshop
For a company specializing in food-grade plastic and silicone products, hygiene is non-negotiable. The new building will house a dedicated dust-free workshop for packaging lines. This controlled environment minimizes airborne particles and contaminants, ensuring that products leave our facility in pristine condition. This protects both the integrity of the product and the end-user's confidence—a standard that mirrors the cleanroom practices seen in leading food-contact manufacturing environments.
3. A Complete Loop for Automated Pallet Movement
Perhaps the most impactful operational upgrade is the completion of our automated pallet jack system. Previously, routine pallet movement required navigating between separate zones, often involving backtracking that consumed time and energy. With the new building, the system now forms a complete, closed loop. Pallets flow continuously from one stage to the next—no dead ends, no wasted trips. This seemingly small change in layout translates into a significant reduction in routine movement time and a safer, more efficient floor.
